Joining Normal Crocheted Blocks to make Charity Blankets
Sometimes, those who donate crocheted blocks to be used to make charity blankets make them in the desired size.
The photos on this page feature blankets made with 8" square blocks, as requested by Blankets for Canada. So, for me, an "normal" crocheted block is one that is 8" square. And a "normal" blanket is 4 squares by 6 squares.

By sorting the blocks into families of colors as shown below, the result is a collection of blankets that look reasonably planned, albeit scrappy.
